On a TV screen (at full size) the images taken between 12 and 18dB of gain look very grainy - the price you pay for being able to see in the dark. These images are here to give you some idea of the difference each setting makes to the image. If you are unfamiliar with your camera, I highly recommend spending a few hours recording and reviewing your own test images. All the images were recorded onto tape using a PD150. They were then transferred on to a memory stick and saved for the web using Photoshop V6. |
